Good morning Turtles!
Movement today: I have a link to some running games.
You guys have DEAR today! It's a time to read for fun. I hope that you have a good book to read to anyone or yourself. I am making a log (or you can just start one) where you will enter your reading on it. You enter the date, name of the book, and how long you read for. I thank those of you who are sending in their blogs, I always find it fun to see what you are reading.
We are on episode 9 of Liberty Kids! We will use the same graphic organizer as last week. I will start the video just after 3:00pm.
How do you get four elephants into a mini?
Two in the front, two in the back.
What was the elephant doing on the highway?
About 50 Mph.
Math today at 10:00, do your math, you guys are awesome! I gave you 9 items to the MM group, so if you finished them all yesterday, get some graph paper and find someone to play battleship with!
10:30 Science today: We've talked a little about physical change and chemical change. We talked about atoms and molecules a little. So today we are going to start exploring the bonds between molecules. If you want you should bring to science:
two clean bowls (small ones that you can put your fingers into)
clean water
new paper clips (if you don't have new ones, make sure you clean them well and dry them)
some liquid soap that you can get a drop from
Life skill: Cooking skills. Gordon Ramsey teaches you how to cook a nice Pan-Asian stir fry. Gnocci (an Italian potato dumpling), and cheese cake (though honestly if you're going to make a cheese cake you need to use a sous vide machine). Never use a knife without adult supervision.

Writing you should have your outline (graphic organizer) done. Here's the thing. Your outline is just that. It's not a story. When we read books in class, they're not just an outline. If that was how the BFG went the story would sound like this:
A little girl is an orphan and one day she gets stolen by a Giant. He takes her to Giant Country and he turns out to be a nice giant. They talk and all the other giants eat people. The giant collects dreams, and he takes the girl to the Dream country where they find a bad dream and give it to a bad giant. Then they go to see the Queen of England.
Today: start with one box, and add details. You might have to move it to a separate piece of paper. I will send out a spider graphic organizer. You need as many details as you can for each part.
