Friday 4.3.20, Another week done!
Hello!
Read Aloud: My Number the Stars Group: We are going to read this after morning announcements.
I would tell you my construction joke....
But I'm still working on it.
But I'm still working on it.
Today's small talk topic: your favorite sandwich.
Today is Friday so if you're done with your online math you may play math games: https://www.mathgames.com/. Or if you feel more like a strategy challenge there's always Ninja Kiwi, I'm enjoying BTD4.
After math games I'd like you to look at this podcast. They post a new one every week, so there's something new to listen to. If you feel up to it, maybe you could write a short story or write your feelings about the episode. If that's too much, talk to someone about it.
Your life skill today: Perspective taking. What this means if understanding someone else's point of view, or idea of what has happened. Everyone experiences the world differently, your experience is not the same as another person's experience. Some people like roller coasters. Some people do not like roller coasters. If someone bumps into you in the hall, you might think they pushed you. From their PERSPECTIVE, they didn't see you, and it was a mistake. I have a short video for you to watch and you get to play Emotions Bingo! This *might* feel like SEL, but having social skills are essential, and they are life skills! Also, it's Friday and Bingo is fun!
Today, I want you to tell someone about your spelling rule (you can read it from your work), and then spell a couple words for them as examples! This will be fun. Especially if you just start randomly spelling words that you say.
Read Aloud: My Number the Stars Group: We are going to read this after morning announcements. Chapter 11! Wahoo, Wahoo, perpendicular.
If you normally read with Ms. Harolene please read with a parent, a book of your choice.
Today is a good day for art. Please look at the blog post from Mrs. A and pick an activity. If you don't want to do that, you can draw or you can choose something from this blog.
I found a new home for our carnivorous plant:
